Is this the first time you use the internet? There are too many things you can do in the internet. The following lists give you an overview of what you can do to make good use of the internet.
Blog. A way of keeping a log of information but not limited to web. This could be exciting especially when you maintain a journal. Pen is not necessary. Create a post and publish it. Start with Blogger.com. It's easy. Share the world about yourself. Be known and be recognized. Bloggers will also give comments on your posts and vise versa. This will give you a chance to make new friends. Some bloggers have developed their writing skills and pursue a writing career. Their blog got printed and they also blog to get paid. Who knows you can make a novel someday?
Chat. Everyday, you talk with your friends over the phone. Or send them text messages from your mobile phone. This can be done on the internet, too. Just sign up for a new account in Yahoo, GTalk or Skype. It's free. And once logged in, invite your friends through email or join in a chat room. For voice chat I prefer Skype because it gives me a more clearer reception.
News. Get the latest news online like you are reading a daily newspaper. Start with CNN News. Internet offers several ways of getting daily fresh news. One example is Digg.com where users post story of interesting stories or news they could find online.
Email. An electronic mail. Send mails without going to your local post office. The recipient can even read your email as soon as you send it providing that he or she is also online. Communication is fast. You can also forward messages that you find inspiring. Sign up for a free email account from GMail, Yahoo or MSN.
Photo. Another fun activity on the internet. Flickr.com offers a way of keeping an organize photo album. Set whether your photos go private or public.
The lists could go on and on. And as you continue using the internet the more you will discover more things. Get connected.
