On Becoming A Good Contortionist
Contortion skills can be learned. Men and women alike. And even you. Our goal here is to offer you more information and tips to achieve your dream of becoming a good contortionist.
The art of contortion exists eversince the time of Kings and Queens began. Its popularity is known during that time especially in Egypt, Greece, Eturia, and Rome. Even Hindu uses this form of art for their health and religious ritual.
In just a matter of time you can do almost all skills a professional contortionist does. And soon you will perform frontbending, backbending, splits, enterology and dislocations.
To be successful contortionist you have to set aside some old myths that most people believe. You don’t need to apply snake oil to your joints or to drink an elixir. You don’t have to dislocate your joints to do unusual bends. Or to check if you are double-jointed.
All you need to do is follow a step-by-step program which you can attain through enduring patience, perpetual training, timing and control, and coordination of mind and muscle. And most important of all, you need an instructor. Yes, an ‘expert’ instructor. This will ensure that all your extraordinary movements and actions are well monitored to prevent your bones and muscles from damage. The instructor will guide or even adjust your schedule of program to follow your learning pace.
Bear this in your mind, and you will succeed.

Heredity is an advantage but it’s not a guarantee that you will become a great contortionist.
Trainings are taught in school, gymnasiums and clubs. Like in school where you start in prep, as contortionist you will also start from the basic. As you go along with the training aim for the following performances:

So, even if you don’t reach the top of the stage to perform, you are still lucky because you have reached the top of clean and healthy body exercise.
